Email Client Configuration : MacServe.net

If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Entourage, follow these instructions:

From the Tools menu select Accounts

This will open the following window:

Hold the mouse button down on the New button. Select Mail and let off of the mouse button.

This will bring up the following window:

Select POP (the default) and click OK

You will then see this window:

Fill in the following information:

Now click on the button under SMTP server labeled Click here for advanced sending options and the following dialog box comes up:

Check the box for Override default SMTP port and replace the 25 with 587. Make sure to check the box next to SMTP server requires authentication and that Use same settings as receiving mail server is selected.

Strike the Return key to save those settings and return to the previous window.

Make sure that the Include this account in my "Send & Receive All" schedule option is checked and click OK. You can now send and receive email with your MacServe.net account.
